We Have a Shepherd

One word….CALLING.  The meaning of it.  The search for it.  LIVING in it.  Everytime I talk about this or hear someone talking about it, I get giddy…..like a kid on Christmas morning.  NOTHING in this world excites me more than seeing someone that is living out the call God has placed on their life.   It seems as though EVERYONE around me is just searching, trying so hard to figure out why God put them on this Earth.  We take tests, ask people to pray for us hoping they’ll speak a prophetic word over us, read books on how to find your purpose…..the list goes on.  We’re just waiting for the answer to jump out at us.

I’ve learned so much this past year about just RESTING in God.  I’m not talking about laying around doing nothing….I’m talking about the restful peace and ease that comes when you RECEIVE the truth that God has your life in the palm of His hands.  That everyday is already recorded, every moment laid out, before any of them ever happen (Psalm 139:16)  He’s watching every minute, hearing every thought and prayer, and He’s guiding your feet, moving you closer and closer to your purpose.  I truly believe that if we desire to operate in our calling….if we desire to know God’s perfect will for our life, He will reveal it to us.  Romans 12:2 says, “Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mindTHEN you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.”  This says we WILL be able to know God’s will….that’s a promise He’s given us.  But it’s not without condition.  We have to turn from the world and it’s standard, and instead focus on God and HIS standard.  If we do this, He will RENEW our minds.  In the process, our Spirits become awakened, and we will become more and more sensitive to His voice.  John 10:4 says, “He goes on ahead of them, and His sheep follow Him because they know his voice.”

As we grow in our walks, in our faith, we will come to know our shepherd’s voice.  The more we talk to Him, the more we will hear Him.  I believe if we are active in seeking Him and serving Him, He WILL place us in our calling, and will FULLY EQUIP us to flourish in it!!!  So excited to take this journey with all of you. Be blessed.
