Daily musing numero uno via @joshuaallenj
This morning started out with me reading Psalms 60-61. As with many of his psalms, King David is writing about how God has delivered from trouble time and time again. David knew the source of his salvation, and knew his part to play in that. In Psalm 60:5 he cries out for God to hear him and save his beloved with his right hand. Not with an army or amazing sign or wonder. God’s right hand. In Psalm 61:2 he proclaims that no matter where he is in the world, he will cry out to God. He prays to be lead to the rock that is higher than he is. It’s huge for me to have something in my life that’s bigger than all of my problems and struggles. When we commit our life to God, we realize that we now turn over responsibility of something we were never meant to be capable of handling. For me, so much pressure is released because I know God is for me like king David says in Psalm 56:9. That’s more than a little ecouraging to me that all I have to is trust in him and love him with my whole heart. The better I get to know my Heavenly Father, the easier that gets. All the same, I could not made it a single step, certaintly not the first, without his rod and staff guiding. Without his lovingkindess leading me to repentance, this life would have no purpose. Salvation belongeth unto the LORD; thy blessing is upon thy people Psalm 3:8 Let’s be a people that God is not ashamed to call by his name.
